May 18, 2011 At 11:30 this morning a new girl arrived on the farm. Mother and cria are doing great. The cria weighed in at 21 pounds.
May 08, 2011 New crias are starting to be trained to walk on a lead. Our cracker-jack team of trainers work with the alpacas for days to get them use to the halter and walking on a lead in preparation for the show ring.
April 06, 2011 - Shearing Day at the Farm. As guests, we had members from the Armed Forces Retirement Home participate and assist in our shearing. MJC Alpaca Farm participated and Ameripaca's Gail Campbell brought five of her 2011 national color champions as well. All in all, we had over 30 alpacas shorn in just under three hours.
February 18 - 20, 2011 - Ivy League Farm wins big at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration bringing home three second place ribbons. Carolina Alpaca Celebration
January 10, 2011 - Black Meadow Farm and Golden Key Group donate a Leclerc Table Top Loom to the Armed Forces Retirement Home.
