The following terms and conditions are for Black Meadow Suris. Any other alpacas sold that are not owned by Black Meadow Suris may have terms and conditions that differ from those below. Please ask to see a sales contract before you make a commitment to buy to ensure that you are comfortable with the terms and conditions of the sale or service.
AGISTMENT SERVICES:
Black Meadow Suris is set up to provide both long and short term agisting to meet the needs of all alpaca enthusists.
Our fees include daily routine care such as feed, vaccinations, and toenail trimming.
Fees that are not included are breeding fees, veterinary care, transporting, shearing, or other unique costs. Nursing cria at the side is agisted at no charge up to 6 months of age.
Normal farm care and inoculations, are included. Many farms do not offer these services as part of their agistment fee. Veterinarian services are the owners responsibility, who will be consulted in advance unless there is an emergency and time is of the essence.
Our agistment fee is $3.25 per alpaca per day. Crias are free up to 6 months of age and discounts are available for multiple alpacas.
We continously manage and monitor all alpacas and have care givers on the property at all times. In addition, all alpaca care will be documented in our AlpacaEase software application and will be transmitted to the owners as requested. This allows the owner to stay up-to-date on their alpacas!
FINANCING TERMS:
We will customize financing to meet your needs. As a general guideline: We offer financing with 25% down at no interest if paid within one year. For purchases over $30,000 we also offer a two-year financing contract with 25% down and interest on the balance at the current prime rate plus 1.5%. Buyer must insure the purchased alpacas for the full price, with seller as the loss payee.
BOARDING AND TRANSPORTATION:
We offer free boarding at no charge for 30 days after sale.
We will deliver any purchased alpaca, free of charge, within a 150 mile radius of our farm. If the purchaser is outside of the 150 mile radius, we will pay one-half the transportation cost for delivery within the 48 contiguous states.
GUARANTEES AND WARRANTIES:
As a matter of due diligence, Buyer should have a veterinarian perform an independent health and breeding soundness examination of any alpaca purchase. Buyer will be given a complete health history of any alpaca purchased from us, including inoculations, medication and pregnancy tests (where pertinent). Dams come with a cria guarantee as part of the Purchase and Sale Agreement. Unproven males and females come with a fertility guarantee.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS:
Discounts are available for repeat customers.
We offer discounts for multiple breedings with our studs.
We offer one free breeding to any of our herdsires with the sale of an open breeding female.
All alpacas sold will be transfered through ARI free of charge to the Buyer.
