As with all logos it starts with an idea. We wanted to capture the life and spirit of our Suri alpacas. Melinda is just the person to be able to do that. This last year Melinda visited our farm and saw our alpacas. In the last month we have taken pictures of our favorite alpacas and emailed them to her. She is now taking those pictures and bringing them to life on paper. It will take another month for her to complete her work and then we will be able to launch it as our logo! Stay tuned and visit each week to see her progress. |

Week two is now complete! This last week, I emailed Melinda a lot of pictures with alpaca eyes in them. I rarely SEE their eyes since their bangs hang down over them. But Melinda is a stickler for details and, as you can see, that and their ears are what she was working on this week. Last week it just looked like a couple noses but what a difference a week makes. You can really start to see the alpacas peeking out of the pictures. We can't wait to see the next version of the logo. It is looking great! |

Spring Break was in full swing this last week and Melinda was traveling so she had a delay in working on the Logo. However, as you can see, Kore is starting to really look like her picture.

Melinda is starting to work on the right alpaca. Melinda stated that "its just the beginning and I am doing the negative space first and then will add textures and value into the positive space." I have not a clue what that actually means but I nodded my head in understanding just the same. Another couple of weeks will bring all of the logo together and we are looking forward to showing it off to everyone |

Now that looks like a Suri alpaca! Melinda is in the home stretch now and she thinks that in a couple more weeks it will be complete. Both alpacas look true to life and while they are both Suris; they look completely different. That is just one of the wonders of owning and breeding alpacas.

It is done! In the next couple of weeks we will be getting the original shipped to us so that it can be scanned and incorporated into our website and business cards. We can't wait to see the original. |
